About Me

My photo
Vintage Vernacular
Washington, Georiga, United States
I consider vintage photographs to be extroardinary pieces of art. There is just something about a black and white photograph from the fifties that can evoke strong emotion as I think about a time when the pace of life was slower and America was full of promise. I tend to seek out certain subjects and oddities in my quest to add to my collection of over 4,000 snapshots. I am drawn to vacation photos, especially snapshots taken from inside a car; snapshots that include shadows of onlookers; diners and storefronts; girls with cars and crime scenes. I am a court reporter by trade so the latter just comes natural. You can find me browsing flea markets and searching through tag sales most any weekend, in search of the "great find." Please stop in often and I am constantly adding to my online collection.
